Who are we?
regular people serving a remarkable Savior
Our church is a family of believers in Jesus Christ. He has saved us from the guilt and penalty of our sin, and He has given us a new hope, and purpose, and joy for living that is hard to describe. We believe He has led us to begin a new Baptist church ministry in Plainfield Township, and by faith we have set out to see it happen. Come visit us this Sunday and you will find a group of normal people whose lives have been radically and practically transformed by God's Holy Spirit through the work of His Son, Jesus Christ.
What are our values?
people. preaching. producing.
Our ministry values people. Our desire is to see individuals helped by the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In our church we find encouragement and support to live every aspect of our lives according to God's Word. We have a lot of growing to do, and we do our best to encourage each other to grow.
We also value Bible preaching. Through the preaching of His Word, God challenges us and changes us. At all of our functions we devote time to Bible preaching. God's Word contains everything we need to live godly, faithful lives, and we come anticipating that God will stir our hearts through the preaching of His Word.
It's our desire that our church would be constantly producing new Christians. That's why we work hard to share what Jesus has done for us! Christ tells us in His Word that we are to produce by going and making disciples, and to teach them to live their lives as He has called us to. Nothing excites us more than to see Him producing through our efforts!
What's our style of worship?
inviting. invigorating. intentional.
In our services you will discover a blend of music that includes time-honored songs, as well as newer favorites. Come and discover an inviting family of believers that enjoys praising God as a congregation, as well as being led in worship through our church choir and other forms of special music.
Every week we need to be refreshed and invigorated by praising God together, encouraging each other, and sitting under the preaching of God's Word together. The intent of our worship is to bring honor and glory to the one and only true God, who has saved us, and given us a reason to sing!
You will find that we all dress as we feel most comfortable. Some are in their "Sunday best," while others are more casual. There is no "dress code" here, just a family spending time as a family.
As far as the Bible we use, you will discover that in all of our teaching, preaching, and other programs we use the King James Version.
Come and see the services for yourself! We are confident that you will feel welcomed here!
Meet Our Team.

Terry Hulsebus
Financial Administrator
Terry Hulsebus has been a faithful servant of the ministry for over 15 years. He, with help from his wife, Cathy, is involved in just about everything, from maintenance to administrative assistance. It's his bias for action that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. He has a wealth of experience behind him, but his servant's heart is his most valuable asset. People both in our church and outside our church know that they can always to go to Terry when they have a question, and we love that about him.
What we believe:
God
We believe in the one and only true God, whose name is Jehovah. We believe that He is timeless and eternal, without beginning or end. We believe that God exists as a Trinity—a unity of three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is the author of all creation. We believe that the very character of God’s holiness demands separation from all and the judgment of all sin. We believe that the character of God’s love and mercy instigated the work of the redemption of man. We believe that His attributes as found in Scripture declare Him to be infinite, immutable, impeccable, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.
Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Timothy 1:17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:10, 26; James 1:17; 1 John 4:4
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that He is a part of the Trinity, being very God of very God. We believe that He was the author of creation. We believe that He is the thoroughly perfect, spotless, and sinless Lamb of God. We believe that His blood and His blood alone was the once and final sacrifice for sin. We believe that He completed the work of redemption and is now the only Mediator between God and man. We believe that He came to this Earth in the incarnation, was born of a virgin, was tempted in every way yet remained sinless, practiced an earthly ministry lasting three years, and was betrayed and delivered to be crucified. We believe that He died, was buried, and physically rose again from death three days later. We believe that He showed His resurrected self to His disciples and was also seen of many witnesses. We believe that He commissioned apostles to spread the Gospel and then ascended into the presence of His Father in Heaven. We believe that at any time He will call His church up to Him in the rapture. We believe that following the Great Tribulation He will execute His second coming to Earth, in which He will judge the world, and reign for 1000 years. We believe after the final revolt of mankind Christ will create a new heaven and a new earth, which will last for all eternity.

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is one of the three members of the Trinity. We believe that He is an equal in the unity of the Godhead, having all the traits and characteristics thereof. We believe that He was the instrument in Creation. We believe that He draws all men to God and convicts the world of sin and restrains sin in the world. We believe that He came upon and empowered men and women of the Old Testament for special service. We believe that He now indwells each and every believer and does so at the moment of regeneration. We believe that He teaches believers, guides believers, comforts believers, and intercedes on their behalf. We believe that He regenerates the dead spirit in a man at salvation, and is the instrument in sanctification. We believe that He endows every believer with spiritual gifts. We believe that He seals every believer and is our earnest on our glorification.

The Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men under the control of and inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. We believe that the Scriptures are the complete and finished revelation of God to man. We believe that the Bible holds precedence over any idea, experience, and preference. We believe that the Bible is inerrant. We believe that it has been and will forever be preserved. We believe that it requires no text criticism, update, or correction. We believe that its words are true in every way and in every area. We believe that it is the one and only foundation for the Church, for its practices, and for its creeds. We believe that Scripture was given and inspired in its original languages of Hebrew and Greek. We believe that it was carefully passed down and preserved through the ages by the Church. We believe that proxy inspires any Bible that is carefully and formally translated from these preserved and inspired texts. We contend that the King James Version is God's preserved Word translated into the English language.

We believe that man was created as a direct result of the "hands-on" act and involvement of Almighty God. We believe that man was created with the appearance of age and in his adult state. We believe that man was created on the sixth day of the creation week. We believe that man was created as male and female, in the image of God, giving sanctity to every human life. We believe that the female was created as a result of Adam's need for a companion, setting the example of monogamy and heterosexuality in marriage. We believe that man is made up of both material and immaterial aspects, the body and the soul. We believe that God created man in a state of perfection, without sin, yet he was given freewill. In the use of that very freewill, man chose to disobey God at the fall. We believe that as a result of Adam's sin, sin and death passed upon all men. Sin now affects every aspect of the being of man and creation. We believe that as the remedy for this sin, every man is called to Salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. However, not every man will believe and be saved. We believe it is man's ultimate purpose to love and serve God.

Man
Sin & Salvation
We believe that sin is any thought, action, or speech that violates the commands of God as found in the Scriptures. We believe that sin originated in the universe with Satan and on the earth with Adam. We believe that sin is now a part of the very nature of man and therefore every man is a depraved sinner. We believe that sin in present in an individual at conception. We believe that the depravity of man makes him guilty in his sin before the holy God who must judge. We believe that man is therefore separated from God by his sin and can have no fellowship with Him. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse man from his sin and the imputed righteousness of Christ can restore man’s lost fellowship with his Creator. We believe that the penalty for sin is eternal damnation in a literal Hell. We believe that Christ paid that penalty for all who believe in His finished work on earth. We believe that sin is finite and will one day cease to exist.
We believe that all mankind, as a direct result of the sin of Adam at the fall, is found guilty before the holy God who must judge. We believe that, as punishment for his sin, man deserves eternity in a place called Hell. We believe that, out of His love for mankind and his infinite mercy and grace, God has provided a way of salvation to all men. We believe that God, in the person of Jesus Christ our Lord, lived a sinless life, suffered and died in man’s place, and rose again on the third day, thereby providing payment for the sins of the entire human race. We believe that man can accept and receive salvation by responding to the call of God in faith and believing on the work of Christ. Upon receiving salvation a believer is justified and God begins the lifelong process of sanctification in that individual. Ultimately the believer will be glorified with Christ in Heaven on high, being made like Him. In this glorification the believer will be given a new body, which will be free of the corruption and nature of sin. We believe that once salvation is granted it can never be annulled.

The Church
We believe that the Church is the agent by which God is accomplishing His purpose in the world today. We believe that the Church began at Pentecost and will remain on earth until it goes to meet the Lord in the rapture. We believe that the Church is not the recipient of Israel’s promises, but has been chosen to do the work that Israel was intended to do. We believe that the Church is to place its authority for faith and practice solely on the Word of God. We believe that the Church as the local assembly of believers serves a specific purpose in the lives of those believers. We believe in the two offices of Pastor and Deacon as the only Biblically mandated offices. We believe in the two ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as the only Biblical ordinances.

End Times
We believe that the Church age will end with the rapture. We believe that all believers will give an account at the Judgment Seat of Christ. We believe that the seven-year Tribulation period will begin sometime after the rapture of the Church. We believe that the Antichrist will be revealed at the beginning of the seven years and make peace with Israel for three and a half years. We believe that at the end of the three and a half year period he will betray Israel and demand that he be worshipped in the temple as God. We believe that the Antichrist will have great influence over the nations of the world and will control commerce. We believe that during the Tribulation, God will pour out His wrath on the world in a series of judgments and plagues. We believe that at the end of the seven years Christ will return and set up His kingdom on earth for 1000 years. We believe that at the end of that millennium Satan and His angels will be cast in the Lake of Fire. We believe that all the lost will be condemned at the Great White Throne Judgment. We believe that God will destroy the old heaven and the old earth and create them anew.
